"question on the previous comments"
Pros: Looks like a powerful radio, 4 watts! Ought to transmit a long ways on GMRS channels
Cons: I have to wonder if the previous commenters used the GMRS channels, on which an FCC license is required. FRS channels are legally limited to about 1/2 watt and a very short distance. The 10-mile range only refers to GMRS channels. Gotta wonder if those

"Midland can expect few repeat customers. A lot of difference between 3/4 mile and 10 miles."
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Of little or no value beyond 3/4 mi. That's FAR SHORT of advertised 10 to 12 mi. range. Talk about "truth in advertising"!

Pros: Size Belt clip
Cons: Couldn't get it to work long enough to test range and functions. Poor/no customer service
