"great - maybe someday"
Pros: design, features, price
Cons: stability, no maps
Summary: The specs look great, but the units are buggy in this first release. They hang, lose tracks, etc. The software they distribute (Mapsend lite) is serial port only, so won't work with the unit which is USB.
The built in base maps are very poor, and there are *no* detailed maps yet, and their tech support has "no information" about future release dates.
See reviews on model 200 for comments on the TOPO! map problems, which would apply to all of the series. In any case the HG TOPO maps are $99 each, and even their full series of 9 only covers 21 states in US.
Unit is incompatible with any old maps you may have from their Mapsend series.
If they repair and upgrade the firmware, and get maps out, might be great.
