"Good value for the cost."
Pros: Been using one since 2002. Has proven itself, even under aircraft flight navigation. Low usage of battery power supply.
Cons: Screen too small for zoom function. Restriction of 64MB uploads.
Summary: Since I work in aviation I was more interested in its air navigation capabilities, which were proved quite reliable when aircraft was navigating GPS approach procedures. I used it for road navigation and found it not quite as accurate as a GPS specifically designed for the road, but it got me to the right street and within reasonable proximity to a specified destination.
The only drawbacks with the unit is the size of the screen. It might have been better if the programming buttons were placed on the side of the unit, and the front of the unit dedicated to screen size. The limited size of the map upload requires the use of more that one SD card for large areas of maps. However, at the end of the day, the unit's overall functionality and features far outweighs any shortcommings.
For extended use, would recommend using lithium batteries instead of alkaline, allowing much longer continuous use. After continuous running during a 10 1/2 trip, the bar on the power meter didn't even register the amount of power usage.
