Pros: Is capable of storing 50 routes.WAAS-ready GPS device accepts radio signals which can help increase accuracy of positioning data to within 3 meters.Serial computer interface makes it possible to add new programs and maps as well as store previous trips and data.Tracklog function automatically creates a record of the path traveled and stores it as a series of points for later use.Waterproof receiver stands up to the elements.System includes MapSource trip & waypoint manager.Built-in barometer means sudden weather changes won't catch you by surprise.
Cons: Has a 2.6 in screen size.This is not out of line with the product's price, but is less favorable than the average GPS receiver on the market today.
Suitability: A multi purpose GPS receiver, suited for a variety of activities.Built-in altimeter can provide important information for hikers, bikers, and skiers.Has an external antenna which is preferable for situations where open sky is limited.This unit is lightweight, weighing in at 5.4 oz.
Value: In general, this GPS receiver has good features for the money.Also note this unit is able to store up to 1000 waypoints.This is significantly more than the average GPS device.
Suggestions: This GPS device has only internal memory.If you plan to store many trips or add base maps, you may wish to consider a unit that has removable storage media.
