"TV was great at first but died 4 months after we got it"
Pros: The price fit into our budget.
Cons: Screen went completely black 4 months after we got it.
Summary: Four months after we got the TV the screen went completely black. We took it to the service place that Toshiba recommended (who have been helpful) and they figured out the problem right away. Toshiba's parts department was closed for inventory for over a week and when the shop tried to order the parts, they were told that something was on back-order. I called multiple times wondering why the part is on backorder, was there a problem with the model, and how long it will take to come in. Finally, I got someone to listen to me and she spoke to a supervisor. She told me that a supervisor call me back in 2-3 business days with a new plan. When I told them I was available to talk now, I was told that they need 2-3 days. Really? The supervisor finally calls me, he tells me that I can return the TV to the store I purchased it from because they didn't know when the part would be ready. But wait, they need to process the paperwork, which takes 7-10 business days, before I can go pick up my TV and take it back to the store. It has already been over 7 weeks since the TV broke, what's 7-10 more business days?
This whole process has been a nightmare and the TV was not worth the price that we paid. I will not be buying a Toshiba TV again!
