Pros: built in ether, and so what if it has 2 controller ports only, buy a multitap. its a dvd and cd player mann
Cons: I scared as F$#% to break it. The game quality is the same as the orginal ps2

Pros: Ps2 pro's: Really small. Not huge like xbox. Flip up cd tray. (Also the new design prevents vertical standing of the unit. A design flaw which damaged discs in the previous design) Built in Ir, ethernet, pretty much saves you buying the little accessories
Cons: No hdd. But nothing is going to use it anymore anyways. You could use it with ff11 or That resident evil game. ff11 is availible for pc and the resident evil game was not that great. Costs too much. Should be a trade in offer through sony.

Pros: Thin case is nice
Cons: Need HD support for better on-line gaming and now if your old model PS2 were to break you have to send in for repairs if you want to have HD abilities, maybe they can come up with an external HD

"Its "OK" if its you'r first and are not planning on purchasing the HDD"
Pros: Smaller, Built in network/ RJ-11 line, less power consumption, Can read video DVD-R's (original cant) no disk read error.
Cons: No HDD compatability. (sony will probably make an exterior one via USB 2.0) heats up reletivly fast no fan, small vents

Pros: its tiny, looks good
Cons: it will get pulled off the TV stand to easily from clumsly people trping over the controller cords (needs cordless controlers)
