"Great Mid level GPS"
Pros: Ease Of SetUp and Use, Touch screen panel, Preloaded maps, Big Display, Customizable for 3 users, Excellent Accuracy, Selects / Deselect POI types
Cons: Cannot import address and POI from computer, A liitle bit bulky for small cars / suv's, Froze one time on me, Missed a freeway exit on the first day of usage
Summary: Bought the Road mate from COSTCO yesterday for 499$. Product was sold out at most costco's. Setting this one was a breeze, i was able to set this up in < than 5 minutes at the costco parking lot and i was on my way.
On my trip from Orange County to Ventura county on a really heavy day, it did indeed showed me that i was driving on a park instead of a freeway for 1 minute???? I was asked to take the next exit and get back into the freeway. Ignored it and it quicky came back to senses in 2-3 minutes.
On the way back i was disappointed with the fact the the GPS blew it on the I 5 to Route 91 connector ramp. It outright missed the RAMP. It asked me to go a further 4 miles to get to the ramp when i was on the ramp.
I will try this for a couple more days before i decide weather to keep it or not.
